Oisin Quinn
FFXIV OC Info
☽༓⁺‧͙Basic Information‧͙⁺༓☾
Age: 32 in Lalafell years
Pronouns: He/Him
Gender: Male
Orientation: Panromantic Asexual/Grey-Ace
Race: Lalafell (Plainsfolk)
Homeland: Lower La Noscea
Occupation: Bard/Archer
Height: Min. Height for Lalafell
Weight: 50 lbs ( I have no idea how much Lalas weigh)
Hair Color: Snowy lavender; hair looks almost white in direct sunlight and in darker lighting the lavender is much more prominent.
Hair Texture: Has a bit of a soft curly/wavy-ness to it, despite being short.
Eye Color: Soft lilac/lavender
Skin Color: Warm tan
Body Type: Shorter than most Lalafells, he holds the familiar rotund body shape that all Lalafells have. However, his arms are slightly more muscular than most due to his profession of being a Bard/Archer, same with his legs, chest and abs.
Body markings: Light colored freckled dust his cheeks, nose, shoulders, thighs and face in general. There are a number of scars from his line of work that are mostly on his back; he's a little self conscious of them.
Hobbies: People watching, shopping in different cities, tending to his chocobo, learning new things, playing around at The Golden Saucer and cooking.
Likes: Exploring, helping others, the smell of fresh flowers, hydrangeas, making new friends, stargazing, sweet foods and soups/stews and sewing/knitting.
Dislikes: Pushy people, people being disrespectful, seeing other's in pain, liars, bugs, and most alcohols (like sweet wines though).
Positive Personality traits: He is someone that gives off a welcoming, trusting air. He's always striving to be welcoming to any potential friends he could make. He's very open to trying new things and these new things tend to catch and hold his attention very quickly. He will literally give the shirt off his back to help anyone in need, which often gets him into situations because of his kind nature. Even though he has a heart of gold, it won't end well if you end up taking advantage of it; his kindness is not a weakness (at least, in his eyes)!
Negative Personality Traits: He is quick to forgive, but if you break his trust, once lost, it is hard to earn in back. He never forgets those who have wronged him. Because of his trusting and somewhat naïve nature, he tends to be easily tricked. He can become easily distracted if something incredibly interesting catches his attention.
☽༓⁺‧͙ Bio information ‧͙⁺༓☾

Oisin Quinn is the youngest of 12 siblings, and is the only male offspring of his mother and father. His family lives in a close knit village of other Lalafells in Lower La Noscea, and run a large clothing shop and weaving workshop. His family is well liked and looked upon favorably within their community and he is very close to his parents and sisters. All of his older sisters, parents and himself, work in the clothing shop and weaving workshop. Most of the time, Oisin is the one that models the male clothing, as well as acting as a mannequin for his older sisters for their new designs. Due to their village being isolated from other villages in the area, they mostly self-sustain themselves by trading with neighbors who need things (i.e. if you need eggs or meat, one would trade with a farmer and offer them something in return (vegetables, clothing, pottery, etc.) )Having only known his home village all his life, Oisin grew up wondering what was beyond his village. Very rarely, there would be the occasional traveler that would pass through and take respite in the local tavern. There, conversations of the goings-on of the rest of the land would flow through the tavern via these travelers and, ever so often, Oisin would catch wind of these stories. This further fueled his want to go and head out on his own, to learn and experience new things.During these times, Oisin would mildly train while also thinking of a way to propose his decision to head out on his own to his family. When he finally gave the news to his family, they were hesitant at first. All he knew was the life inside their village and they were concerned for their son's safety and wellbeing if he went out on his own. Would the realities of the world outside be too much for him? These were their concerns but Oisin assured him that he'd be okay, and that, if anything, it would be a learning experience for him. He also offered to gather things for the shop and the family that would benefit their income. After much thought, they conceded and let their son go, knowing that it would be good for him in the long run. With excitement and melancholy, he left his home at 24 and venture out on his own. Everyday he write his family, making sure to keep them updated on everything and on some occasions would send material back to their shop to see if they could be used to help make new clothing. For several years he became quite a decent adventurer until one unfortunate incident befell him. While out on a routine job from a frequent client that always called upon the small Lalafell for their service, Oisin was attacked by a unusually big pack of wolves in the snowfields of Corethas while escorting said client and their goods to the city-state of Ishgard. For 3 hours, the bard fended off the pack as others went to get aid. With the pack slain, client safe and cargo secure, all seemed well; however Oisin was struggling to even stand at that point. The small Lalafell had taken a majority of the packs attacks, back practically shredded to ribbons and his right calf bitten at more than once. At once he was hurried off towards Ishgard and their chirurgeons. It was there that they told the adventurer that it would be a long road to recovery in order to get all, if not most, of his regular mobility back from the damage he sustained from his leg injury. As for his back, however, that was a different story; there was decent damage done to the nerves and muscles there, so much so that he would most likely feel numb and nerve pain there for the rest of his life. His livelihood of being an adventurer was cut short at the age of 30.It was then that he threw himself into recovering as much as his body would allow at the time. Word of his condition eventually met Oisin former client whom he had protected so fiercely from the wolves. Knowing they had put Oisin in that predicament by hiring him, they personally reached out to the Lalafell and offered compensation for everything and then some. They agreed to help him even find a different profession in any of the Guilds in Ul'Dah, providing a glowing reference to any guildmaster that takes Oisin under their wing.It would take another year before Oisin recovers enough to start working at his preferred Guild of choice, The Weavers Guild, and learn enough to start planning what his new avenue of income should be. The Lalafell had always spoke to his sisters of running a different shop than what their parents did; something that he thought would bring a smile to others faces once they stepped inside. That's when he started his year-long planning on The Cozy Corner Hobby Emporium, a cozy little hobby shop specializing in crafting books, crafting supplies, toys, plushies, stationary and other good to bring a smile to everyone's faces at reasonable prices. He couldn't believe that with all of his connections and skills he was now bringing to life one of his dreams he had casted off when setting off as an adventurer. His heart, sweat and tears went into bringing his store front to life in Ishgard and now the store stands proudly facing the Jeweled Crozier.
☽༓⁺‧͙Rules and Guidelines‧͙⁺༓☾
☽༓・˚⁺‧͙ This is here to establish boundaries when RPing and to clarify how I will be engaging with others with other RPers. If you have any questions, please feel free to send me a message! I'm also new to figuring out how to RP on FFXIV, so please be patient with me! ‧͙⁺˚・༓☾1. I am a literate RPer and tend to post on the long side. Please don't let that discourage you from interacting! You do not have to match lengths with me and, if anything, I'll end up adjusting to you post length.2. I love plotting out long RPs with people so if you have an idea for a long form RP plot, feel free to run it by me and we can work it out together! This also works out for current RPs where the plot is going nowhere. I PROMISE I will not be upset if RPs are dropped for this reason, but I do believe communication is key. If something just isn't panning out or you want to do something different then that's okay as long as we talk about it!3. In regards to shipping, I am fine with it but only if the person behind the character is 18+. I will not ship my OC with people who are minors.4.) Oisin is asexual/grey-ace so please respect that. However, he does indulge in skinship (cuddling, hugging, kissing, gentle touches, etc.) with others which can put him in scenarios that one could consider +18. If you do not like that kind of content with Lalafells (I completely understand why), do not engage in/propose those scenarios with him. He's much more interested in having deep connections and friendships than anything else. Please just communicate to me what your preference is in this matter!5.I do not exclusively RP just on FFXIV; I RP on Discord as well. If you want to RP with me there, just message me and I'll give you my Discord info.6. Do not, I repeat, DO NOT control my character. I do no take god-modding lightly but I'll come and talk to you about it if it does happen. If it happens constantly, I will block you. I have done this in the past, as a slip up, and people would pull me to the side to point it out politely, which has helped in improving my writing for the better. This is why I give some chances but if it continues to happen one after the other, regardless of me telling you, then iyou will be blocked.
